I am one of those people who wrote to his advertisers. I sent out about 20 letters of complaint to all his advertisers. i heard back from 2 of them who said they would NOT pull their ads.. Lexus and Procter & Gamble. So i wrote back, ok fine, but ur now officially being boycotted by the WOMEN of America so expect ur sales to plummet immediately. Will see if that makes em change their mind!

The addresses of all their cbs sponsers on the late night show was posted on twitter.. THOUSANDS of people wrote letters to each sponser.. i'm glad one of them is doing the right thing!

Imus said 'nappy headed ho's", was fired THE NEXT DAY, didn't get his job back for 8 months and only after he apologized privately and publicly, did a lot of community service and charity work, and a lot of groveling.

Letterman slanders ALL women, condones rape of children, slanders flight attendants. What happens? Oh it's just a JOKE, no foul. Wasn't until the women and a lot of men in this country went on an email campaign that he could even be bothered to give an apology, and then it was so lame, and he was laughing when he said it, that no one believed him. Takes him a WEEK to really apologize, and that was only after he learned that his 'fans' were calling for his head on a plate!

Well I am not appeased by his 2nd apology, it was nearly as lame as the first one, and he never did apologize to women in general nor flight attendants in particular. He isn't sorry a dammed bit for telling those 'jokes' for 3 days straight, and they got worse each day. He's a pig. He may have gotten higher ratings for a few days, but it wasn't because anyone wanted to watch him, it was because folks were watching for his apology! AFter his so-called second apology--his ratings will plummet back to where they deserve to be.. at the bottom. You might as well retired, Letterman, your days are numbered.
