I would have thought someone would have posted.
P1 got a half hour to run and it's very wet and slippery.

...which is why I always wonder why they don't take the opportunity to practice more.

The odds are it's going to be a wet race, so I would go out there and get as many laps as possible done, it's not like you get the chance very often during a season.

They're restricted on the numbers of wet tyres they have, unless they're checking for problems, there's only so much they can do - and when conditions change, so will the optimum setup, braking points, amount of cornering force, acc'n, etc.
There's also the chance of damaging the car if it aquaplanes (as in the real meaning of the word) in the wrong place.

Even more reason to test properly today to get the balance right. Sunday is supposed to be mixed. Should be rain for at least some of the race, though.

I'd say Inters are most likely throughout the race, and they don't have many of them.

Fun fact from auto, motor und sport magazine: between 2003 and today, the driver with who has broken most rules is Lewis Hamilton with 21 penalties + 13 tickets for speeding in the pits. Least penalties from current drivers is on Kimi Räikkönen with only 2 penalties + 13 tickets for speeding & being late on press briefing. They also mention Alonso has 11 penalties + 9 fines and Schumacher with 10 penalties and 13 fines

Wouldn't call it a 'fun fact'. More a statement that shows how much you want to suck Kimi.

Some drivers push the limits on the track and are exciting to watch, others are late for press conferences.

Didn't you say Lewis doesn't get reprimanded and that he gets special treatment? I wonder how many are between him and Massa.

Yep, from the Valencia thread:

Typical, can anyone even remember when Hamilton got a penalty last time from something he did?

About 45 minutes into P2 and only two drivers have been out and set a time.

Ridonculous!

What's with the weather, anyway - seems the same as we've been having, but at least it isn't supposed to be summer here

He's becoming a liability for Williams now, I wonder if he's even going to last the season...

Silverstone are telling people with general parking not to come tomorrow.

We're still under a hose pipe ban down here.

Time to invest in some proper tarmac car parks I think. It's a good job it's so popular here; British people will keep coming year after year regardless.
