Default On Romney
I know most of you think that Romney is just another puppet, and represents more of the same. I totally understand and respect that viewpoint, and agree with it to a large degree.

But having said that, I've come to the point where I hope he wins the election. I really don't want Obama in there again.

There's even an argument that Romney is ultimately the better step toward a Great Awakening, simply because he is not the incumbent. People thought Obama represented hope and change, and I think many have learned a lesson. Now, to some, Romney represents some type of fiscal reformer, which we know he's really not. However, the general public needs to learn that, which they can only do if he wins.

Then, in four years if/when he fails us, we vote him out. I think a succession of failed administrations is the most likely path toward some type of necessary political upheaval. I think it's important that the public sentiment shifts from partisan to anti-incumbent. Big change takes a long time.

Please, no arguments that it makes no difference who wins because they're both controlled by the same ruling class. I don't dispute that.

We all agree that there may be some dark days ahead regardless of who wins. But in spite of his shortcomings, I have more respect for Romney and would rather see him navigate the failure instead of Obama. Really, the only reason I find to want Obama in there again is that he will be assigned a much bigger portion of the ultimate blame when the wheels fall off. I suppose that's something. But in the same way I had enough of GW, I've really had enough of Obama. At least a failure by Romney will be one more learning data point for the masses who think choosing the "right party" matters.

I think I follow. So instead of one big failure in 8 years, the American people can see two big failures in 8 years, hopefully helping them realize that failure is all they get no matter who's in charge.

Yes, I've finally decided that I am, for the reasons stated above. But I still appreciate all the reasons to NOT vote for him.

Yes, and not just two failures, but failures from two very different types of promises, representing each side of the Left/Right paradigm which must ultimately be abandoned.

I voted for Ron Paul in the primary in 2008, the general election in 2008, and the primary in 2012. I get that.

If Romney wins

White America goes back to sleep (original tea party)
We only have 4 years of bho, we may have 8 with Romney
They support the police state (to catch the turrurists, duh), and the endless wars overseas

If bho wins

If we take congress he may be a lame duck
it's only 4 more years tops
a shit storm is coming economically, and who better to be at the drivers seat than a marxist

As to your original intent, people will not wake up. The fox news types are like this, if things fall apart under Romney, they will blame the liberal media for slandering him and his valiant efforts to save us, they will blame BHO and 4 years of socialism. If they fall apart under bho they will blame bho and the central planning marxists.

Trust me on this, the old timers like 60+ are NOT going to see it any other way, if they voted for any republican in the last 20 years they should be ashamed of themselves, they have all been "lesser of 2 evils" they have just progressively gotten more evil as time goes by.

I understand your point. And I agree that most oldsters are so stuck in their thinking that they are beyond repair. But they think that way not because they are old, but because of the generation in which they have lived. Eventually (within 20 years), they will be an inconsequential minority. Subsequent generations think differently, and offer hope of enlightenment. I can see that with my own eyes. I'm talking mostly about people currently in their 20's, with thirysomethings and fortysomethings being more of a transition. I've said before, the Millenials are going to turn things around in 15 years. They are more likely to view a Romney failure more for what it is. They have grown up in the age of Internet exposure. They've had a chance to look behind the curtain their whole lives.

I think those who do not see this are being just as shortsighted in their thinking as those 60+ old timers who are clinging to the left/right paradigm.

One line of thinking is that they can't go into marshal law with a black president. The military is white, the police are white, and there would be too many white people up in arms if Obama became dictator. However, Romney could bring us into marshal law with support from the police and military.

On the other hand, Obama is like a ticking timebomb...if a false-flag was carried out against him there would be a race war in about 3 hours.
