Is anyone anywhere disagreeing with that?
The authorities acted slowly because in a climate of anti-muslim sentiment taking care not to enflame that is sensible and reasonable. In this case it slowed down the investigation and thats horrible, but turning this into an anti-muslim story is despicable and typical of that vile newspaper. The fact that they keep trying to put the responsibility for a small ring of pedophiles onto the entire muslim community is ****ing obscene and proof (as if any was needed) that the Mail are a bunch of racist ****hounds. |

If the article was correct and authorities had evidence of this going on as far back as 1991, I would argue that there hasn't been. If you read this hate filled peice of **** you'll see it's full of 'it was clear it was muslims, but the PC loving police refused to go on an anti-muslim crusade' bullshit. |

Girl A told police that she had been raped and provided DNA evidence from her attacker, however the CPS twice decided not to prosecute him. What the Mail has done here is take a fact and add on a layer of bigotry that is completely unconnected to reality, which is utterly typical for them. How the **** they are still allowed to call themselves journalists is beyond me. |

Girl A told police that she had been raped and provided DNA evidence from her attacker, however the CPS twice decided not to prosecute him. Obviously there are crimes that go unpunished. To claim it's due to allowing minorities to do whatever they want so as not to be called racist is just absurd unless there's some actual evidence that that was the case. Neither of those articles present any evidence as far as I can tell. |

So why do you assume this was a result of fear of being called racist? |

I don't actually know if they were or weren't doing it because of that. If you'll notice, I was responding to kentonio's general approval of authorities slow walking enforcement so as not to inflame hostilities and was curious about the basis for that line of thinking. |

Actually you were quoting and responding to me there. I was responding to your "if the article is correct" ... the main basis of the ... ![]() I would however be interested in the results of the IPCC investigation of Greater Manchester Police currently going on concerning its failures in this case. |

I don't care for who wrote it, With Melanie Phillips, you should.
Any Western institution that endorses sharia-compliant products therefore effectively endorses the extremist ideology behind it of conquering the west for Islam, whether it knows it or not. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...lications.html She's so quaintly barking mad. |

Seems like there has been, no? They've been arrested. edit: rereading the article it's not clear that there was actually any delay in prosecution, and I wouldn't put it past them to have thrown the implication in there without any basis |
