I reread The Hobbit a few years ago and it was clear that it really is meant for young readers. I hope they don't make movie too dark.

Of course, if these movies succeed (and I can't see why they wouldn't), studio execs may talk PJ into spending the next 15 years of his life making a five-part Silmarillion series...

If the tolkiens will give up the rights.

There probably aren't enough midgets on planet earth to properly cast a film of a Tolkein book.
