Cool Art Exhibit
This is the crowning piece from the current major exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston through November 9th. I'm going on Friday and I am SO excited.
It's art nouveau jewelry (pre-art deco, Lalique, etc.) from the late 1800's I think, and the image in the link below has been their big piece for marketing purposes. It's a Paph. Sweet! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif If anyone happens to be in the area, not only should you let me know, you should go see the exhibit! http://www.mfa.org/exhibitions/sub.a...15&subkey=5707 |
Please also see Chen Rong's Nine Dragon Scroll from the 13th century and tell us all just how awesome it is in person...that is the number one reason I want to visit this museum.

I'll see what I can do. I have to say, I've been there a 100 times and don't think I've seen that!

the Lalique company had and still have great creators. Personally, I esp. like the Daum and, about all, Gallé creations of the 'school of Nancy'. But I thing you will have a nice show!!! Jean

Nice Paph pin. That would be a jewelry dream come true. Can you imagine how many hours involved in creating that.

It was a FABULOUS exhibit. I don't remember the last time I spent that much time in one exhibit room. AMAZING. Mom bought the book, I bought a poster. It was really well done.
