Why don't you just inject filth straight into your veins in the morning instead of eating a croissant. Not that white flour bread is that great for you but at least it rises above the croissant, I got served a chocolate covered croissant as breakfast while in France once. Really more of a dessert than staple of your diet isn't it?

"Schrippe"? In Bayern, when I was there they called that "Semmel".
Anyway, it depends highly on the quality of the croissant. Croissants can be great, but not so many people know how to make them right. And a bad croissant is terrible. You can easily get very crappy croissants in cheap hotels, restaurants or supermarkets. Schrippe seems to depend far less on quality. I mean even low quality Schrippe can still be called 'food'. So, if both are cheap, bad quality or if I want to play safe, I'd go for the Schrippe. If I know it's quality, if I know the baker or if they look fine enough for a try, I'd go for the croissant. |
