so after bringing my car back to the shop for the third time after they originally gave it back to me, i am still not happy with the job they did replacing my door skin. i finally brought it to a new shop today who pointed out all the flaws of the job the first shop had done and they told me theres a law similar to a lemon law where if teh car isn't fixed properly by the third time, then you get your money back. anyone know anything about this or have any recommendations becuase i am calling monday to say i found a new shop to fix it and i want my money back. this all happened in CT by the way since i am sure laws are different everywhere.

Yeah, lemon laws are made to protect you if your car has had a problem that cannot be repaired, usually after three attempts. It is usually due to the car itself, not the mechanics who worked on it.
For example, one of my friends' parents bought a 2002 Nissan Altima when it came out. From new, it had constant engine problems. They got it repaired three times on the same problem, never got fixed, and they said "screw it", so they got their money back. They went from two Altimas and an Xterra to an 06' Accord and an 07' Civic in literally a couple months after that. |
