The wife recently wanted to join a gym, so we found a "nice" local gym franchise, 24 hour fitness I believe and went inside to check it out. It was completely silent inside and when we reviewed the rules they indeed had no "loudness" rules. I said, **** this, in the Navy when we worked out, we went to the base gym, youd be deaf by the time you left that shithole. 50 different boomboxes blasting music from metal to rap, "meatheads" grunting and yelling. Roving packs of people laughing, yelling and riling people up. People would let the wieght machines crash down producing a building shaking "clank, BAM" In addition to that machines would be covered in slimy animal sweat, the locker room smelled like a ****/sweat bomb exploded inside. But, its a ****ing GYM, FFS. I would expect no less.

It aint a gym if people aint being animals.

I'll mostly agree with that, although, I'm usually bothered by the sudden sound of stacked weights crashing down. I think the line between 'gym' and 'fitness centre' has been blurred over the years.

I had to google that gym, I was sure it was just some kind of spoof. I still cannot believe it is actually real. It must be some kind of prank Bill Gates is pulling on all the bullies he had in college.
