The worst throat ache ever. This is crazy.
Last night I woke up at 4am and didn't get any sleep after it because of the pain.
Nothing helps. I went to see the nurse and she said that it's just a very nasty virus.
Eat ice cubes, drink drink drink etc.

My Dad always used to recomend gargling with salt water for a sore throat. Other than that a drink of honey and lemon, or Strepsils.

I was shown a cure for a sore throat when I was younger by a Chinese fella.
simply boil some fresh shredded ginger in a cup of coke ( as much ginger as you can stand ) add a spoon of honey and a splash of whisky.
Tastes sickly but it'll sort your throat good.[thumbup]

Had the same a while ago.. Turned out I had mono nucleose (however you spell it) + sore throat = worst sore throat ever. Sick for like 3 months and my sore throat wouldn't get better for a long time because of bad immune system. Only thing that helped it somewhat was hot tea and pain killers.. horrible... ears hurt so much too [no]
