48 fps?! Party

Vomazoono 04-13-2011 07:06 AM

Still not good enough, me needs 60 fps at the minimum for smooth gameplay.

Alina20100 04-13-2011 07:07 AM

1080p's gonna hurt!

@Aerodyno@ 04-13-2011 07:14 AM

Do most movie theaters have displays that will show 48fps?

bubbachew14 04-13-2011 07:52 AM

I've just had a crisis.

MARMELADINA 04-13-2011 10:24 AM

About ****ing time.

NikkitaZ 04-13-2011 10:32 AM

Old news. Read it last week.

:D

The Hobbit being filmed at all is good news in itself, though I'd prefer Del Toro were still at the helm rather than Peter Jackson.

MegaJIT 04-13-2011 11:26 AM

I know I'm seriously jumping the gun here, but would anyone else kill to see a 3-movie project by Jackson on the Silmarillion?

Vobomei 04-13-2011 11:52 AM

Werent tv shows and movies are not allowed or any commercially made not to be shown above 24fps because in the past companies put in an additional 1fps as adds?

I love PJ, but I have to agree. Del Toro simply has a vision that few other directors are capable of duplicating.

Only the NVidia Projectors as they aren't as efficient in terms of performance / Watts.

The ATi ones are OK but suffer from IQ issues due to changes in default quality settings.

Ask Kaotika and icemanchilled for more details or see the 3,489 topics on the subject in Display Adaptors forum.

Hahhhaha. 10/10

If it's fully digital, filming and projecting, there shouldn't be a problem with it.
It was the traditional film stock that had huge problems witht he tractor drives overheating and chewing up the film stock.
Watching the 'Rings trilogy, parts seemed to be out of focus and/or jerky in movement - hopefully this will alleviate much of that http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/cool1.gif

NikkitaZ 04-13-2011 04:13 PM

Guess we need to OC our eyes too.

ibiDb4uu 04-13-2011 05:04 PM

I think they might need a cascade for a 100% OC.
And Addyadamson, do you really think CB would EVER admit that ATI/AMD is lowering the default IQ? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

Ohh well, maybe we'll need a BitBoys Glaze3D Projector for it then http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue1.gif

GotActichwicy 04-13-2011 06:09 PM

meh, I like the look of 24 fps movies.

Dislike fantasy films too so this one is going to be easy to miss.
