Lol i have no luck with cars me

Last year i bought a fiat punto Mk 2 only to have spend £500 to get it right, and still needed some work doing to it.

Finally sold the Punto yesterday.

So 3 days ago i buy another car 53k on the clock full electric everything, FSH, engine proper clean and sweet no leaks, 1 owner from new old couple so no ragging it about, plus MOT till Feb 2011

After being stung in the past i spent nearly 2 hours checking the car over for problems on the test drive it drove great without a single problem, as i was listening for any knocks or squeaks.

I was well happy with my new car & finally thought i got a great nice to drive car.

UNTIL TODAY!!!!!

When running my Sister about Town to do the shopping, the clutch suddenly went stiff and there was a clicking sound when the clutch was fully pressed and some slight crunching going into 2nd gear.

Just my luck the Clutch is on it way out, so the money i got from the Punto that i was going to save for a rainy day is now going have to be used on a new clutch for the car.

So no car at all now till this get sorted and it going to cost me a few quid to.
Also while the Clutch is getting fixed I'll also get the Cam belt changed aswell just to be sure as in the book it has no mention of this being changed in the past.

I think the last owners being old, proberly drove riding the clutch to much.

I know clutches can go at any point but i wasn't expecting this to happen just 3 days into having my car. [no][thumbdown]

So have you ever been stung on a 2nd hand car & what problems did you have with it?
