Generally I would say a "hairdresser's car" is a convertible that is all show, like the MX-5.
One of the guys at work was using his daughters MX5 - the roadster with the uprated suspension, 6 speed box, etc! It may not have had the grunt of a big* V8 but ****, it was diabolically fast point to point!
*He'd dragged off a lot of regular V8s!

BTW, he used to be a hairdresser - and had at least FIVE official kids!

I read all the way to the end. My opinion it is his money, as long as he is happy and it floats his boat then by all means do it.

But the last few tag your it post comments made my day. I can't wait until the next comment is posted.

Personally, I'd like to see a color photo of Kyros' eyebrows... I'm curious as to what type of winter we're going to have!

As for Cazzam, as far as he's concerned I could talk about taking a nice, satisfying dump and somehow I'd be bragging about it, saying it's better than everyone else's... possibly that it somehow cost more than what anyone else craps, etc.

I'm not terribly worried about stocking up on C16... Hence why the water/alcohol injection is included. And based on octance availability, type of driving, etc... there'll be multiple maps for different boost levels. The transmission and drivetrain will of course be modified, as the stock components would tear themselves apart.

To be fair to you LM, I do not think that you would start a thread about it... The newspaper insert and devoted websites to the turd would be enough.

about as funny as a punch in the face. i just happen to be looking at something in front on my left eye and to the left of my right eye. lol

anyway...

I like this car, although not those very American wheel it has on. It's supposed to be better than the 350z, which was a bit nasty and had a slightly limp engine.

looks like a fun project.

I keep wanting to buy go fast parts for my GTO but something else always pulls me away. and its a slippery slope... i want a CAI... but then to help the other end, i need headers... then i need to help the middle so i need new heads... then it would be stupid not to get a new cam with all that added breathing ability... then i have to update the valvetrain to handle the stress.. then i have too much power so i need wider wheels in the back... then i have to update suspension to reduce wheelhop/sag....

all i wanted to start was a CAI

Bah, I knoes!

Things have been crazy busy, and I've barely been in WV to do any work. As it stands, she's completely disassembled and media blasted, with all her coats of primer... The portions of the NISMO bodykit are prepped as well.

Have sold most of the parts I'm not keeping... made some decent money to put back into the project!

Seibon has finally started shipping their CF hoods, but also a sweet bottom lip/splitter in CF that I like better than that of the NISMO kit... Hood is in, lip on order. Rear hatch/trunk and roof are still MIA from their parts list when I checked last week.

Will hopefully get a chance to take some pics this weekend, as the fiancée and I are heading to WV for Easter and some hiking... Will likely try to get some shop time in as well, possibly photos... Still working on the bloggish-website as time allows, and will start posting pics and stuff whenever it's done!

Sounds good, looking forward to seeing some pictures!

I would quite like to do the same kind of thing some day but with a GTR.

BTW, Who are you getting to do the turbos and engine build?
