Yeah, it's standard FM Geek netiquette. Don't agree with someone's opinion, insult them for it. The fact that I find a real bike like a Big Dog more appealing than a geeky tron bike clearly hurt his fragile ego. It's not that the bike doesn't look cool in it's setting, a stylized film, take it out of that arena and place it in real life though and it's just going to look odd. For instance Brandon Lee's outfit might look pretty cool in The Crow but I wouldn't wear it to the mall at the weekend. I leave that to the Hot Topic douches.
The problem you have is that your putting a novelty/fantasy bike in a real world setting, comparing costs or how you look down the road with it. Things such as this are simply "I'd love to own one", "That's cool beans" or "**** it, i'd shag my sister for one of those any day".......... any consideration putting these items into reality and beyond is quite frankly ridiculous.

He may have a point though, maybe I was a bit harsh, the bike is not as douchey as a Segway. This is exactly my point [rofl] Comparing it to a Segway is totally uncalled for [thumbdown]

You know you could get a lot more bike for $35K and one that I imagine would be a lot easier to ride.

I don't know. I think it looks great in the context of that photo. Real life though, pull up to a biker bar and you are probably going to look as big of a douche as if you were riding a Segway with LEDs.

Posting an opinion makes one a "douche"?
