Default Satnav for your iPhone for £4.99
It's true, and it's called NDrive. I can't vouch for it personally since I haven't used it but apparently it's very good.

Ignore that knob. I'll get a couple of our guys to try it out in the real world and report back. Thanks for the heads up. This could save us a lot of money each year if it does what it says on the tin.

Thanks for the heads up mate! I just google'd for some info and came across this short review:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I66wdIP0X8

For £4.99 it boasts some impressive features, no doubt that price will slowly go up though.

Wow, there's an NDrive London with aerial mapping! Now this I will be buying

I use the CoPilot app - was £26 I think, much cheaper than Tom Tom and does the job pretty nicely. Never had an issue so far.

A few people at work installed it today and are gonna try it out on their way home. I'll report back after the bank holiday weekend when I am next in the office.

It is, but you need to invest in a cradle for the windscreen if you want to use it really.

I've also used it at the same time as a system in a range rover, a honda, a mercedes and a tom tom and it's been just as good. In fact the lane detection works quicker than the range rover system (which as it's a 2007 model will be a ford unit I think).

The US version has a similar deal for $2.99 but it's got pretty mixed reviews. There's also a 'premium' edition that's $31.99 I think which has better reviews but still plenty of bugs and poor customer service it seems.

A couple of guys at work are using it regularly now so I'll see what they think in a couple of weeks or so. The maps will be different obviously, but the software should function in the same way unless they had it written independently for each country (very unlikely).

£4.99 is for UK and Ireland. I think for Europe it's about 12 quid and about £18 for America.
