don't judge all police by the actions of the few who don't deserve to wear the badge.
Pretty much this... I know a lot of great cops and people in law enforcement in general, but there are plenty of bad ones too... I can't stand people that "hate cops" in general just because of some cases like this, not all cops are prejudiced power hungry cowards. Inner city/big city cops that actually have to deal with **** tend to have their heads screwed on a little more straight.

Unless you smear "poop" over the camera lens.

The cameras in jails record everything. You can't expect a right to privacy when you are incarcerated. Besides, many prisoners are suicidal. Unfortunately, the jail has to protect them from themselves. If the person isn't on camera, how are they supposed to do that?

That's actually one of my biggest grievances - why is a beat up old Landrover, with worn drum brakes, tired suspension and crossply knobbly tires "safe" at 100kph (our limit), yet a late model car, with ABS, disc brakes, performance tyres, etc, dangerous at 111 kph (where they start ticketing)?
Heck, I had a (UK spec') Chevette that stopped in under 100ft (seriously!) with warm tyres and brakes from 120kph - non-stock tyres and pads, though! Incredible stopping power and still haven't found a match!
When someone says UK Chevette my mind goes back to this...

is that what you are talking about? [shocked]

The guy was fired, and was brought up on assault charges. It ended up as a mistrial and he is awaiting a retrial.

That's basically them - they weren't fast (around 95mph for the 1300 - there were also twin cam 2300 versions - HS and HSR - that were a bit quicker, but way too expensive and rare) , but driven well not much that would get away from them on country roads - hillclimbs, autocrosses, etc, even in stock trim I wa beating cars with double the power, or more, on occassion.
I was easily out braking modified cars, back in the day, and could drive round the outside of most cars (which was a lot of fun for winding people up) but on the straights they'd just blow by me - very frustrating!

They're light, got a relatively large engine bay and are rear wheel drive.
Seen all sorts of engines in them - 302 Ford, Rover/Buick 3.5 litre V8, 12A and 13B rotaties, Lotus 907, Honda S2000, Opel C20XE, Opel 20LET, Nissan, Toyota, etc - some of these were turbo'd to close to 400hp, and there are even some motorcycle engined versions - with turbo's. There were also a few drag cars with small block Chev's in different configurations.

A good, strong shell for all sorts of projects. I was looking for a clip of a chap in a similar setup to my project, who was giving a BMW M5 a hurry up at a track day - until his brakes faded...
Ah, found it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEst0IosPtU - main difference will be I've a little more power and EFI Vs his carb's - and hopefully I'll have better bakes...

AH! Here's JC having a hoon in a HS - also a nice Chrysler... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySXGK...eature=related
