Default New Toy
So my old projector was getting a bit long in the tooth so I decided it was time for an upgrade. Ended up going with the Panasonic AE4000 as I have been more than happy with my plasma from them. It has completely changed the experience in the living room. The image size to quality ratio is staggering.

nice, but if you're going to show screens from LOST, for godsakes, at least show Evangeline Lilly. Not a freaking closeup of John Locke's skin pores.

That screen looks ridiculously awesome. Makes me want to sell my 50" plasma and get a bigger living room

Looks great, but is your version of Monsters, Inc a cam? You've got one of those annoying film goers that insists on standing up constantly showing!

Drastically improved contrast ratio and black levels, significantly higher light output and color accuracy, fully motorized lens system, and a frame creation system.

I haven't had the chance to see an LCD from that price bracket, I have used an entry level Epson (a TW2900 perhaps?) and although it seemed good for the money it did lack contrast and punch for such a bright unit, especially compared to my similarly priced DLP.

Wouldn't mind checking one out for the sake of it.

The first 5 seasons, yes. Unfortunately the 720p broadcast from ABC comes nowhere near them in image quality.
