Pittsburgh area people: I have an offer.

I had a last minute cancellation on a trip to Heinz field to watch the Ravens-Steelers game Sunday at 1PM.

With that said, I have an extra ticket to the game in a reasonable seating area. Let me know via this thread if you are interested in coming along.

The ticket would be free, and there no obligations. We are going to tailgate beforehand too!

Hope to see you there!

would you like a sweetie little boy [rofl]

Dvjkefdw 12-26-2009 10:57 PM

Very generous of you - hope someone can take the offer up and bring some cold ones as a contribution!

How do I know this isn't a trick to lure us into your unmarked white sex van? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue1.gif

I live like 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, but I don't know yet if I could make it...

dude, go to the game with a fellow onion! it would be a blast! also, Steelers v Ravens? what an awesome atmosphere.

I've been to a couple of Steeler Games. Being a lifelong Broncos fan, I was at the AFC Championship Game in 1998 at 3 Rivers. I was cheering for the Broncos.....just not out loud[rofl] not the safest atmosphere that day.

Yeah, on one hand I would like to go, I've never even been inside Heinz Field yet for a game, but on the other hand I think I've lost all faith in the Steelers this year. I can't help feeling it would just be another disappointment.

dude, just go! they've got a reasonable chance to make the playoffs. Ravens Steelers would be a ridiculous smash mouth affair.

btw, I was at the Titans v San Diego massacre last night. It was pretty fun to be at a game on xmas even though the outcome was bad. pretty good xmas. woke up, opened presents with my nephews. went back to bed untill noon. Woke up, showered, poured a cocktail. xmas feast around 2:00. Went to tailgate at 4:00 got piss drunk untill 12:00AM, we took a cab back to my brothers. Ate xmas feast again..... passed out. woke up this morning @ 10:00 drove home, go on computer to place some bets on EPL and college bowl games.[thumbup] gonna chill out and watch football everyday for the next 2 weeks straight[thumbup]

GWRIeEQp 12-27-2009 01:46 AM

Worth the tailgating alone.

Bah, if you want good wings, Quaker Steak & Lube isn't that good. Wings, Suds & Spuds out by the airport is the best.

Haven't been to P-burgh in forever... Been craving Pipers' Scotch Eggs! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/blush1.gif I think the last time I was through was in March of last year! I drove from Charleston, WV to Pittsburgh cuz of a nasty storm + air traffic control issues, and the only place my fiancee (GF @ time) could connect to was Pit. [thumbdown]

I haven't ever had these. Speaking of which, I don't even know if I've ever been to Piper's Pub before. I'm not real big on the clubbing & bar scene, I've been down to the South Side to a few bars, but Friday & Saturday nights are nothing but overpriced alcohol and young drunk college students, which doesn't exactly appeal to me anymore.

And thinking about the game tomorrow, I really don't know if I'd be able to make it, my family is getting back home into town later today and we're supposed to be opening our presents with them tomorrow morning sometime. Yesterday was just me, my girlfriend, my sister and her boyfriend, so it was a relatively quiet celebration.

I've never been there at night... typically just for lunch or dinner. Their food is REALLY good! [yes]

Then you've never been to Wings, Suds & Spuds. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/wink1.gif Quaker Steak's are OK, but IMHO they're just an overpriced chain where you pay more for the atmosphere. They have a decent variety of sauce flavors, but here I think they're beat by Buffalo Wild Wings if you're looking for variety.

Will_P, do yourself a favor and go to Wings Suds and Spuds instead!

Then you've never been to Wings, Suds & Spuds. or maybe I just have different tastes than you do.[rofl] anyways, I could just as easily say, wow, you've never had wings at some random place ....Fatty's in Sun Valley, ID so you've never really had wings.

anyhow... I like BW3's quite a bit too. I went to college just outside Pittsburgh. We used to go to that BW3's off hwy22 (the pointe, i think) there was a Quaker Steak there as well, also Best Buy, ect.. anyways, i like both places.
