So like due to job changes and stuff I've drastically changed my diet, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's cheap, easy, and quick. The problem is that I'm taking in too few calories. Like.. 1000 or less... How I've managed this I'm not really sure.
For a fat guy that's not good. The problem is I can't find reliable info on the topic. Everything I read says something different. About the only thing most agree on is men shouldn't go under 1800. Too few calories and you'll burn muscle and slow your metabolism. I've heard all sorts of stuff, like calories should = 10% of your weight (rofl 3000 calories). I'm trying to find a legit source of information. What are some websites that don't suck, and have solid information? |

I went on a 1000 calorie diet for about 3 months and I never felt healthier or stronger. I ate more vegetables and fruit, ate more often, and was much more active; running and biking at least 5 days a week.
Listen to what your body tells you and not what your tongue tells you. I think 1000 calories a day is great if you have fat to burn and you're getting enough vitamins and minerals out of that 1000 calories. According to some calorie calculators, I burn about 3000-3500 calories a day just doing my normal thing, but I have plenty of stored fuel to burn. If your 1000 daily calories consist of a single Double Grease Burger, then I'd say that's a bad deal. ________ Weed Vaporizer |
