I quite enjoyed StarGate and ID4
So did I, even though the computer virus thing in ID4 was a bit silly.

Looks like a gigantic pile of manure, and the main actor is so generic I can forget his face 1 min after the movie is over

Nope, I'm spending my movie-going dollars on this.

Saw it last night, despite my thoughts on it being pants.

And it was actually pretty good! I love going into a movie with low hopes and being entertained [thumbup]
So go and see it I say.

Law abiding citizen looks good as well.

ok if you're on the fence of watching this movie I can tell you exactly how it is...

cool special effects, extremely shitty and unrealistic storyline.. There were so many "Yeah RIGHT" moments that I almost felt like closing my eyes and sleep, but the nice special effects kept me awake.

It's pretty entertaining at parts, but too long for its own good. Every few minutes a new disaster happens which makes you feel you're watching all disaster movies combined.

Aye. Special effects are probably the best I've seen, everything else was mediocre unfortunately. Far too many yeah right moments, not enough disaster too much conversation drama.

Open the gates! But first lets have the longest conversation ever to discuss opening said gates.

Oh lets send the John Cusack in to repair the broken gate when we have mechanical engineers, scuba divers, and USMC soldiers on board the ark.

Sounds like some of you forgot your popcorn!! Shove it in your mouth by the fist-full. Sink back into your chair while doing so. Let the buttery bliss erase your intellect as the special effects wash over you.......[yes]

Mmmmmmmm....... Buttery.

Just seen this, the special effects where amazing. Story idea of having arcs was believable enough for me, much better than spaceships. The pace was good, kept me interested all the way through. Of course the main part with Jackson was utterly unbelievable, he most certainly would have died way earlier but hey it's Hollywood and we need a hero! I enjoyed it for what it was; a blockbuster disaster movie. All the people going on about how it would never happen should never bother watching these kind of films. They are there to entertain and make you think twice, no more no less.

I've seen it too now, and it is pretty.... meh, I did however enjoy the President deciding to address the nation to explain what was going on, after literally tens of millions of people must have died already. But then despite huge cracks appearing on the earths surface in major cities, no one seemed to give a **** anyway so frankly they all deserved to die.

Oh, and the old plane taking off just in the nick of time lark is used.... three times.

Pretty cool special effects and destruction.

The rest of it was complete vomit, horrible story, almost everything the main chars did was improbable or flat out impossible. I wont spoil anything, but the governments plan just made me face freaking palm.

And the crappiest everybody hug your neighbor ending ever.
