I would check out http://www.mountain-equipment.co.uk/
May be a little more than 200 but some really good cold weather gear (in my opinion). Was just wondering if you are going on an expedition of some kind or just expecting a "The Day After Tomorrow" style Winter this year ![]() |

ALP KIT
http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?...ategory_id=270 wait for the new ones £75 excellent for the money, in my personal experience you are much better wearing a water proof shell over your insulation layer, rather than buying an all in one water proof and insulation jacket. |

Was in much the same pickle for work, needed something to keep me warm and something that was waterproof and quick drying.
In the end, I opted for an Ex-police Goretex bomber jacket from ebay for £35 and an ex- british army Poncho (essentially a large piece of green tarpaulin with numerous press studs and a hood) for £16 from some army and navy place. Already been out in torrential rain and wind and its bloody freezing here to, and I was dry and warm as toast. Might look weird walking down the high street in a poncho though, but where I am working, Only the rabbits and badgers are taking the p1ss. ![]() |
