So anyway, apart from my main Primary (elementary) school I also teach at a handful of play schools (kindergarten). If you hadn't guessed already, I teach English. At my primary school this is very easy as each month I just follow the curriculum and create a lesson around it - however, my playschools are more difficult because the children age from 3-5, have very little knowledge of English (obviously) and can sometimes be in big groups... 90 kids! I have to teach 90 kids on Thursday and the games I've used on this big group before are starting to get boring. I need fresh ideas for games with little to no English learning just to get through it. I basically get 90 kids in a hall and have no props or anything - just a CD player. We do a few songs of course and I've done a fair few games before but I can't think of any other good games that would be easy to explain and play. Any ideas?! ![]() |

Well when I was in Playschool we used to play ship to shore....and the later on we played Bullrush...(kind of like red rover but the person in the middle screamed Bullrush) and maybe we played Crocodile Crocodile...
![]() Why don't you just ask the kids what sort of games they would want to play...as long as its not mummy's and daddy's you should be good..... ![]() EDIT: There is always stuck on the mud...But then again with today's modern laws climbing underneath someone is probably a crime and classified as perverted thing to do...( Today's laws are beyond ridicules) |
