Why was this Movie title changed.....
 

I was just wondering why the movie "Welcome to the Jungle" staring Dwayne the Rock Johnson was changed to "The Rundown"....http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../confused1.gif

I own the movie and was looking through the Rock's Imbd site and could not find it anywhere.....http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0425005/
Mind you the DVD cover says Welcome to the Jungle.

So I searched the internet and even asked My BF if I was deluded in thinking it was called Welcome To the Jungle... but he agreed with the name of the film....I even searched Sean Scott Williams Imbd site and was unable to find it....[shocked]

Does anyone know? or is it just one of those movies that has 2 titles for Australia and America like "13 going on 30" is also called "Suddenly 30"....

It was theatrically released as "The Rundown" in the US.

Seriously, that's probably why they changed the name. Not Axl, but the song title could have cause legal issues or at a minimum, viewer association with the song.

I actually half liked that movie. I watched it on HBO a few years back and was mildly entertained.

I didnt think they could patent a phrase, welcome to the jungle Im sure isnt something GNR came up with.

Danny the Dog was a name change I didn't think needed to be done, they changed it to unleashed.
