Default In need of a GOOD HD Camcorder
Im looking to get a good HD camcorder, but there are soooo many on the market, im not sure which is the best and whats true HD as apposed to the "hype" and marketing we see so much of.

I have a budget of around £500 max, anything less would be great.

Only a few requirements needed really:
  • Not a disc based media (dvd etc)
  • Easy to use menu
  • Nice features
  • Good on the hand, and easy one handed opperation
  • Hard drive based

What would you recommend or personally use?

I use the Canon HV30, while it is tape based, it is one of the best when it comes to image quality. The current gen of Canon Hard Disk/flash based camcorders are also very good, but you might struggle to find any of them for under £500.

Sony camcorders are also good, but generally not quite as good as Canon when it comes to video quality and a lot more expensive.
