Event Horizon, even with competitors like the Alien Trilogy and 2001 it wins

Empire Strikes Back and Alien. There's something so claustrophobic about Alien, it really makes me feel like I'm there with them.

contact, event horizon, 2001 A Space Odyssey etc.

I am waiting for somebody to add Galaxy of terror. [yes]

2001: A Space Odyssey
The Fountain
Sunshine
Serenity

are all I ever need to see in space. All of the above are amazing.

I'm really looking forward to the new indie space flick, entitled "Moon", starring Sam Rockwell and directed by David Bowie's son, Duncan Jones. It's been getting rave reviews on rotten tomatoes.

Star Wars of course.

I recently watched that. The beginning of the story idea was good, that ship making a black hole to travel instantly through dimensions to get around the whole universe but getting to a dimension of chaos that turned the ship alive? That went just wrong ..

Aliens and Predator

It's not a trilogy, there are four films, remember? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/wink1.gif

Star Trek VI : The Undiscovered Country

Firefly and Serenity have taken over Starwars as my favorite sci-fi storyline. Mostly due to the fact that the reputation of the former is spotless, while the latter's history is marred with gratuitous horribleness. I off coarse refer to the so called "episodes 1-3".

Word. Have you watched the recently redone bluray version?

As I was watching it i'm thinking, its good, but the quality isn't that much better than the DVD i have...So I compared them back to back. I was SOOOoooooo wrong. Time had dulled my memory. Though after a while the detail didn't seem to come alive on the screen. ST4 Voyage home's Bluray transfer is amazing though.

ST6 also has one of the best musical scores out there in my opinion. I LOVE listening to the main titles. ST6 was a great farewell to the original cast.

I agree, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection were only okay in so far as I could watch them once.

The 2nd was far more action oriented, but still good. Loved several of the lines in that movie.

By that logic, there was never a sequel to the Matrix.

I like it.

To be fair, the mitochondria's, or nickelodeons, or metawhatzis's where never mentioned again, and Jar Jar did chill quite a bit. Plus the princess did eventually lose her monotone. (and I notice the new princess did not have one)

Kinda hard to forgive a little kid winning a space battle, though. (or the Ewoks) http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/cry1.gif
