Wow! I've listened to TWIT for a long time (on and off) but this is a new one! I don't know the backstory of him and the guy he cussed out, but wow!

Knowing Leo Laporte from previous shows/books and other such things I would have to agree with him that he isn't one to be influenced by getting a review product for free.

Totally agree. That and he has a cool demeanor which makes this outburst so fun to watch.

Oh I agree 100%. What I think Mike (the other guy) was getting at (and should have made more clear) is that Palm has a history of only sending review copies to those who are known, or in some cases agree to review the product favorably. I used to love Palm (owned 600, 650, 700p, and 755) but they're not exactly a stand up company IMO.

I think that's what Mike was getting at and Leo overreacted. There wasn't any reason to throw the other guys off the show, or drop the language he did. I'm not offended or anything, but I think it was a little out of character for him.

I mean, I like Leo, but he's dropped a notch in my book (not as far as that ******* Scott Borune, but he's a different story.

But Mike is bigger **** than I am. His comments such as, "What are you gonna do about it?" just go to support that was simply looking to start trouble. Seriously, who says something like that simply looking for trouble? I wouldn't want to work with someone like him either.

Besides, at first the one guy thought he was joking because usually Leo is very calm mannered. Let's face the facts here, if this got him riled up, then it must have been collective instances.

Leo is such an awesome guy. I remember how much I enjoyed watching "Call For Help" When TechTV/G4 was actually worth a ****. Mike was a total douche for convicting Leo of being influenced by getting a borrowed product (of which he has to give back), so kudos to him for telling it like it is. [yes]

You guys remember when G4 was tech tv then I think Z TV?

Now the channel is more like a teenage spike.

Man, those were the days. ZDTV was kickass, and so was TechTV. Once they transitioned to TechTV/G4 then totally to G4, it completely went down hill.

Fun to watch

especially becouse Leo is so calm normally. But couldn’t it be that Mike thought he really got a free one? It took some time before it became clear it was a review unit and Leo only got it for a week, doesn’t mean you need to imply he’s not impartial and somehow bought but it would be slightly more logical. It’s not all that uncommon to do reviews on stuff these companies lent to you, Anandtech, VR-Zone, hardocp don’t buy all the stuff they review.
