yeah, sucks that it wont be renewed now, especially when networks have dragged the arse out of hundreds of shows that should have been axed a long time ago

economex 04-16-2009 01:53 PM

hey it could always be worse. it could have ended how kyle xy did with just a normal like episode in mid season and nothing at all answered.... now that really pissed me off

im gonna really miss T:SCC

MARMELADINA 04-16-2009 02:45 PM

I doubt a Season 3 will be done as awesome as that would be. But you never know with FOX, lol...

roundman 04-16-2009 03:37 PM

Just watched T1 with a friend yesterday, the last time I had seen it was probably 10 years ago. And now I am convinced that SCC is total crap. So many things dont fit and the series John Connor is even more idiotic than Nick Stahl. They made a total soap opera out of the Terminator universe.

Most of Season 2 was simply horrendous. Almost every episode was a filler episode. Extremely slow pace in story progression, and nothing ever really got done until the last few episodes.

Also, any episode with Riley made me cringe.[rolleyes]
I agree with season 2 being mostly filler material.

I haven't watched the last 3 episodes because I was busy one night, and I'll just wait for the Blu-ray's to come out. I will buy Season 2. Liked it enough to warrant the purchase.

Season 2 opened great. First couple of episodes were good, then fillers in the middle. Finally started to pickup again.

Despite the show being called the Sarah Connor Chronicles, it should focus more on developing Johns character, and his path towards becoming Gereral John Connor. I am also interested in Camerons character development. As for John and Cameron, I'm not one of those people who want them to get together. But I do like to see her grow up emotionally.

Still, since the show is being cancelled. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/sad1.gif

MARMELADINA 04-17-2009 12:30 PM

Yeah I agree the first few episodes of Season 2 were actually well done, and it really picked in the last four or five episodes.

It's interesting that they chose to do the name as "Sarah Connor Chronicles" instead of "John Connor Chronicles" because the entire Terminator premise is really about him isn't it?

LoveTTatall 05-04-2009 11:55 PM

Sarah Connor Chronicles

Am I the only one here who finds this show really interesting? I mean sure its been more drama then action the last few episodes, but I look forward to it every week just the same. Any comments on thursday's episode?

Super-Luser 05-05-2009 12:07 AM

Probably yes. I have been following and it's so boring...the drama sucks and the action isnt that thrilling. I mean, the last episode S P O I L E R S!.. when they shot Derek and it was like a rabbit ate a carrot, I mean make something matter...

I hope this series leads somewhere though, I like how you can get some extra lore about the terminator story.

I think its all a little confusing, perhaps ive missed an episode or something. [ What is trying to attack John Henry and why does it want to off Savannah if Weaver is also metal?]

UriyVlasov 05-05-2009 12:58 AM

I enjoy it but like BSG it's getting overly dramatic and I can't stand the false trout pouts most of the cast seem to have adopted, even John, and Jesse who has pretty full lips seems to find the need to over pout so much her chin and the corners of her mouth don't actually move, far to much overly dramatic poor acting but still watchable if only for the weekly dose of Summer Glau

JesexhiSeeces 05-05-2009 01:22 AM

I look forward to it every week, however, most of the episodes this season have been mind-numbing. Too much time spent exploring Sarah emotions, yet nothing new has really been added to them since T2.

Seems like the 'real' skynet is trying to kill John Henry who seems to be a AI built to counter Skynet on judgement day. (Reasoning, the other side has direct control of 'metal' that hasn't been aligned with Conner) The only problem with this theory is Skynet went self aware and then let off nukes in self defence, to attack John Henry Skynet would have to be selfaware now.
Thinking on events of the past, Conner might have sent Weaver back to get the experimental AI and develop it so it valued Human life, otherwise she'd have just carried a copy of Skynet's oringal code. So in my eyes, Weaver's efforts have been leading towards building something that doesn't exsist in the future a true AI that is sympathetic to Human kind. I don't know if they could use it to replace Skynet, but they could use it to defeat Skynet before it got control of the US nuclear arsenal.

Did anyone else get that impression?

Or she could be trying to make a new kind of terminator that can easily pass as a human and infiltrate the rebellion.

Yeah, overall i love it (i may be partially biased, but i was genuinely expecting it to be rubbish before it started). The first series was great and i own it on blu-ray too. The second series started off great but then when it returned for the second half after xmas the first 4 or 5 episodes were all completely off on a tangent whilst adding nothing to the story. I don't mind the occasional filler episode but that many in a row got me worried. Luckily the last 5 episodes have been great.

The lastest episode was the perfect mix of story and action, which has been missing a lot lately. [Minor spoiler] I am a bit worried that they are killing someone off in each episode now. The luckluster viewing figures along with rumours of no third series don't help the feeling i have that they are trying to hurry it along to a speedy conclusion. Whos next?!! I hope they get a third series going though as i love some of the concepts in this programme, even if i don't treat it as having any connection to the Cameron films. [Minor spoiler]

Ever since *spoiler* Jesse picked up that gun and shot Riley the show has taken a J-curve to sheer awesomeness. I can't WAIT for the finale this Friday :D

totally agree! I look forward to this show every week and really hope fox don't cancel it and replace it with another crappy show *cough* osbornes reloaded *cough*

LoveTTatall 07-04-2009 04:31 PM

*spoiler*

I was glad when she shot riley, and I am also glad Jesse was more or less removed from the cast soon after. I don't like her acting or accent, and Riley... well I never felt she fit in anyhow

rorsvierwelia 07-04-2009 09:29 PM

Huge terminator fan here... i find this show terrible it almost spits in the face of the two good films it follows from. Disgusting special effects, weird out of place plots, introducing stupid characters and weaving them into the plots lore as if they were always there, ie Derek Reece (POINTLESS)

Even to the female terminator (the good one, cameron)... why? she looks and acts wrong, almost like its slapstic. Other things like the casting for Sarah, totally wrong! sarah is meant to be a hard case, muscly-hard knock and what do we get here.... she looks like a weak wind would put her on her arse.

Oh lol i just recalled the funniest scene ever, where there is that guy taking a pi$$ in a toilet and it morphs into the t1000 female terminator and kills him.

Total. Slapstic.

Funny though! but painfully stupid

jobsfancy 07-05-2009 04:47 AM

Actually my wife and I love the series...unsure if it will last, but we have enjoyed it and we also like FRINGE.

HwoRas1 11-04-2009 12:49 PM

I just watched the season finale... and I was so damned close.
