I'm sure the trainers didn't mind. When I was young we were at Sea World (I think, it was long ago and a lot smaller then) and they were feeding fish to the sharks. The pelicans had learned that wherever large groups of human went, fish would become available. So there was a large flock of pelicans following us around. Anyway, when the sharks got fed I saw one get pushed underwater in the frenzy and I didn't see it come back up. I mentioned it to the guy throwing the fish and all he said was, "Good".

I've seen a documentary where it showed a pack of wild orcas chasing down and killing a gray whale calf.

This is not nearly as cool as the video of Shemu the killer whale ripping apart a Pelican that landed on the water during a Sea World performance infront of scores of children.

The fish's eyes are completely enclosed in its head. It can see through it's own head.

And it was caught on video!

The best part are the campy showtunes while the whales rip art and share the remains of the pelican.
At least the children didn't see a whale penis.
