He's a homophobe who denies that he himself is gay after getting a blow job from another guy. He's looking to "change" his sexual orientation.

He hates gay people and then he went and turned around to engage in behavior that he himself has publicly denounced as being immoral and repugnant.

His bigotry combined with his self-denial and hypocrisy all combine to make him a worthless excuse for a human being.

I'm not empathetic toward bigots. Now, if he was struggling with his sexuality without denouncing gays as being degenerative and actually respecting gay people with dignity then that's a different story.
