So where/how did you come up with your user name for FM?

And is that handle for the rest of the interwebs, or does it change from site to site?

When I registered, I was in middle school and spent my free time skateboarding. I live in Buda, and everybody knows using numbers instead of letters is cool, so I came up with Budask8r.

On a side note...its pronounced Bweudah, not Buddha.

And since I haven't skated in many moons, I no longer use this handle anywhere else.

I've had the_guitarboy as my email for awhile, and this was one of the first forums i signed up for so i just use that. For everywhere else i use some form of Arrow. I was driving by a truck one day and the canopy on the truck was made by Arrow, thought it would be a cool name for online stuff and have been using it ever since.

I tried Neo, DarkNeo, UnrealNeo, NeoAnderson, DarthNeo, NeoGeo, GayNeo, George W. Neo, NeoNeo and a billion other Neo derivatives and they were all taken.

I set up a bot to try registering every conceivable Neo related name and after 16 months of failure the bot produced the closest name to Neo that was still available.

I felt cheated but I thought I had better claim it before someone else does.

Mine is my name, I think I was drunk when I registered and couldn't think of anything.....lol. I wish I could change it. I usually use RobWilJas

Lucius is the nick name my mates give me, especially the girls for some reason. So its kinda stuck.

Not all bad though, for my 21st I got from my mates an England footy shirt with Lucius and the number 86 printed on the back [thumbup]

Big fan of Red Dwarf and used everywhere as it seems to cause people confusion

Mine's what they used to call me at school.(without the UK part, obviously) A looooooooong time before it was a Star Wars character.

The twon-ha is a creature in my personal favorite game ever, Outcast. (Sig+avatar are also Outcast). I used to go under the name FuryX, at some point I decided it was time for a change.

Dutchforce - music related.

Couldn't think of a name to use , looked at the back of a CD cover I had next to me and thought it be ok to use.

Would like to have it as Dutch, but that name is already taken and people know me by Dutchforce anyway.

Having a monosyllabic name means that any nickname given to me would be either a lengthier version of my Christian name, or something relating to my character or personality.

I used to use Drugstore Cowboy (from the movie) but as it started to get hard to register it anywhere I changed to this.

I picked Goliath because I had named my computer Goliath. Not long after I joined I started going by Face Stabber everywhere because it was unique...

After being on the G4 channel a few times with the name, it's become extremely hard to always get the name, i.e. gmail and myspace...

When I was tweaking and benchmarking my computer a lot I would look through the message boards a lot.

I just wanted to make an account real quick so I could post some questions. KMFDM was the first thing that popped into my head.

I wish I picked a better screen name but once I built up some post count I didn't want to switch.

When I first went online I needed to think of a name to use in online games and such. I'm not very good at making up names so I plumped for the name "Bungle" who was a character on the kids' TV programme "Rainbow". I've also gone by the name of Agent Z, not on here though.

As far as I know I made the name of my handle based on a charachter I was working on (I like to write stories) Unfortunately the name popped up in a book a 2 years back and people have started stealing it for games like wow, and places such as yahoo ect.

I tend to use it along with Justair (another name people steal! It's my first username online from back in 97 since it gets stolen alot I do variations on it, Right now Just4U being my main choice)
