Was shopping in Asda before and basically, the guys one place in front were unloading their stuff from their trolley to the conveyor belt.
I noticed at the front of their trolley (the ones which have a seperate compartment for like bottles) they had left two packets of what looked like Ibruprofen heat plasters (which I think cost around £3 each) So now, I'm stood there sorta looking at it but not at the same time wondering whether these guys are going to pay for it. They looked at me at a couple of times in the sorta way that shows that I've noticed that they're probably not intending to pay for the items. And I know they know that they've got the items at the bottom since they looked down at it a couple of times as well. I stood there as they were packing up their stuff pondering whether I should tell someone or not. I didn't. You reckon I should've said something? I know they're small items but to me, stealing is stealing. |

I don't agree with shop lifting, but I would have kept out of it for a quiet life tbh.
I dunno what asda is, but if its anything like wal-mart I would let them get away with it. Im against giant corporations. Being a big corporation means it's ok to steal from them? |

i make a point never to rat on someone unless it's a deadly serious matter. For example, I would frown on someone stealing some aspirin or whatever, maybe call them a loser in the parking lot or whatever, but i wouldn't tell on them. If someone was beating thier child, or something along those lines, absolutely I'd tell.
There was one time when i was in college and I was driving home from Pittsburgh, and there was this scumbag driving down the highway that was about as drunk as I've ever seen someone try to drive. He was at the point where he could have killed anyone on the road with him. Anyways, I flagged him down, managed to get him to pull over, in the meantime I called the local police. He pulled off to this parking lot and I started arguing with him. (he was practically passing out) Anyways, when he wasn't looking I pulled the keys from the car and pretended like I threw them in the river. The guy was furious but scared to do anything. Finally the cops arrived and I gave witness, and the guy got arrested. I almost felt sorry for the guy, and I hate seeing someone get in trouble,, but in the end I felt like i did the right thing. the police were pretty thankful as well. I ended up having to go to court to testify, but the guy never showed up. He broke parole and the judge put another warrant out. Freaking loser[rolleyes] and clear cut danger to society. |

Meh, I saw a guy steel 4 cases of beer from the gas station. He looked at me a couple times too. I walked out of the store before he did, then he came out, put the beer in the back of a truck and left. I only told my friends and laughed about it.
