Yep, he deserved to blow his engine.

If you don't know the difference in oils or how to do basic maintenance, then you shouldn't be modifying any car or even racing.

Someone give that guy a few muffler bearings, headlight fluid, and a cadillac converter to pass emissions. He needs it.

He could have been topped off on oil, and had plenty of it, just I would imagine that it would have been extremely hard for his oil pump to push that oil through the system, and once through the system, really wouldn't move that well through it. Wouldn't even be surprised if it sludged and what not.
That guy isn't that bright, and the person who changed his oil also. Seems like that they really can't read which is pretty sad.
Even with his oil light going on and off, I would imagine the dipstick would have read ok, and the guy not think much of it.

Though, I am also surprised that his turbo didn't go. With gearing oil in there, and running to redline a few times, that sucker must have got extremely hot.
