ignore the propaganda. just listen to the starting credit played by the army airforce orchestra...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWnRl16H1mY but wasn't the communist only in power after the war? so i got curious as to how it could have ended up in US propaganda. ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_of_the_Volunteers It was one of many songs that were promoted secretly among the population as part of the anti-Japanese resistance. In June, a committee was set up by the Communist Party of China to decide on an official national anthem for the soon-to-be declared People's Republic of China. By the end of August, the committee had received 6926 submissions. March of the Volunteers was suggested by painter Xu Beihong and almost unanimously supported by the members of the committee. Although popular among Nationalists during the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945), the song was banned in the Republic of China until the 1990s. turn out the song was actually written during republic of china as a song for fighting japan! is it all too coincidental and unfortunate that the US choose to play this piece? what luck is that! ![]() |
