Why doesn't he just accept that there is no conspiracy, and that Dodi and Diana died simply as a result of a speeding drunk driver and because they weren't wearing seatbelts.

since when did you see all the facts to make that assumption? The reason there is a public enquiry costing tens of millions of pounds is because a large amount of people believe all was not as it seemed. Whilst I feel he is somewhat excessive in his methods, history has taught us that things quite often arent as they seem. I think there is quite probably things that were covered up, eyewitness reports, a few people including paparazi who were in the tunnel have died extremely young since (2) and most witnesses have failed to give envidence in court. I think he has every right to make his voice heard, but he needs to back it up with hard evidence otherwise he does look like a senial dithering old fool.

because based on the CCTV, the speeding drunk driver didn't drink anything? the blood sample was questionable.

also the possible owner of the car that past them died in very unusual way....

I don't think it was this inquest and it's causes that have made him look like a nutjob.

Today the inquest is hearing evidence from the widow and son of a paparazzi photographer, James Andanson. He had taken pictures of the princess before the crash that killed her and Dodi in Paris.


Mr Andanson was found dead in a burnt out car in 2000.

i think in this day and age we are long past blindly believing the 'official' line - and if you're not, you should be.

he has every right to challenge the 'facts' being presented, even if some of his statements seem incredible.

he will unlikely ever get to the bottom of it, but i hope the process giving him what he needs.

He's a slimey attention *****, using his 5 minutes in the limelight to air all his grievances....costing the taxpayers millions in the process.

that he may be, i don't really know enough of the man to form a real opinion, other than to believe that what he's doing is not borne out of self-promotion; or publicity-driven; but a desire to get to the truth, no doubt motivated by grief.

as to 'costing taxpayers millions', sadly in this country most of those present will be getting paid regardless of whether there is a case being tried, or what case it is, so it won't be costing anything extra at all. no doubt the press will be bleating on about this issue though...

Totally agreed, she's dead and thats it, stop spending money trying to calm down Daily express readers and move on. If Al Fayed wants an inquiry let the guy pay for it himself, he can certainly afford it.

Wouldnt it be better them investigating something worthwhile rather than something that has already been looked into far to many times already?

He's always had it in for British establishment because they won't give him British Citizenship. And God is it depressing to read through this thread and see all the people that have bought into the Daily Express' line on Diana. Pathetic!

I dont think you can just dismiss everything as hype built up by tabloids, there has been a series of extremely suspect events. I had a lecture last week by the pathologist who said the blood alcohol samples taken from the driver were suspect, until then i hadnt really paid any attention to the inquest just dismissing it as tabloid hype, but if extremely educated people are saying some of the things don't add up then i think the inquest is completely justified, if the coroner thinks there are still questions to be answered he'll continue with it.Mohammed Al Fayed is acting as most fathers who lost their sons unexpectedly would act, he just wants someone to blame.

Let's not forget that the whole French Establishment would have to be involved in this and must have been supporting the Monarchy of Britain by perverting it's own investigations into the accident. I'm sorry but even if it were an attempt to kill Diana although successful it was stupidly risky especially seeing as the one guy in the car wearing a seat belt survived! Or is that a part I missed Prince Phillip snuck in and cut all the seat belts.
