Archos Gen 5 players.
I was looking for a new MP3 player when I came across these :
http://www.archos.com/products/gen_5...try=gb&lang=en I quite like the look of the 605, But I've never seen one IRL or know anyone who owns one. Does anyone on here use an Archos player? If so what are they like? Any good? http://discussworldissues.com/forums.../confused1.gif |
Why would you buy an Archos over a Zen, Zune, or Ipod?

Why wouldn't I? That's what I was asking. Are they bad or something? |
I used to own an Archos Gmini 200. It was the smallest 20Gb MP3 player at the time (maybe still is). Pretty decent player and doubled as a portable hard disk that was also how you got the music on there.
If you want to see one try popping down to your local Dixons or Currys Digital or whatever they are calling it these days and have a look there I've seen Archos players there before and they have the 605 on the website so if the store is big enough they should have one in. |
If I get chance I'll go down there on the weekend and see what selection they have in like.

Archos are considered amongst audio connoisseurs to be the rolls Royce of media players.(but people will contest it) the company has been around for years and has had a lot of success with the PMP and I think they were the first to invent it.
and these I pod disbeliever should go try one out they may be surprised. I used to own the AV500, and it was Brilliant |
I got the Archos 504 and it's seriously a great portable video player. I travel long distances every week and watch tons of movies and shows on it. It basically plays all video formats.
If you want a music player however, I would go for something smaller. The sound quality is still great though. |
