I can't really tell, but is that more then about a foot? We got that not too long ago here on the eastern side of Washington state. We're not used to more then an inch or two which is gone in a day or so, I would figure up there you guys are used to that kind of snow a lot more then we are.

40-50F that about 5-10C, thats freezing cold[surrender]. We only get those temps here during Winter on a very cold day.

It was snowing for about an hour when I was in NYC around Jan. 2nd. Nothing stuck but I remember seeing huge flakes from about 9am till 10 or 11am.

I think Cairns would be hotter.

I go to Lake Mac twice a year, Don't notice the temp difference going there much but coming back it seems much more.
I stay near Wangi and Shingle Splitters (not sure about the spelling)

Those are great pics by the way!

Snow? WTF is that?

The weather channels here in Ottawa were predicting around 1-2cm of snow. Boy were they wrong! When I woke up this morning there was ore like 15-20cm and still accumulating. I'm getting tired of snow...[thumbdown]

tell me about it, I work about 45 minutes west of ottawa, listen to the forecast at 6am, still calling for 2-4cm, got off work at 8am, go outside, and there was already at least 8-10cm, and it was still coming down like crazy. made for a fun drive home though.

you've got what, 3-4 inches of snow and a crust of ice over the windows?

if you took 35 minutes to clean it off, i imagine you got every last tiny trace of snow off that truck

Haha. That would take a couple of minutes at most unless you were to have no arms. Anyway, I actually use my garage for the temporary storage of my vehicles (unlike 99% of the population). So it would take me no time all

Edit: Hmmm, we does my gamertag indicate that I'm Analogue. Oh well.

I had enough snow covering my car yesterday that I couldn't see the wheels and didn't know where the side of the car was.

The snow drift on the passenger side of my car was waste high, i'm 6 foot.

But thats okay, the previous week it was 55* lol.

Welcome to chicago weather. 0*F one day, 60* the next. And back to 0* the next. Lake effect weather sucks as its very unpredictable. Most of the schools were closed yesterday, but I was still at work. They still haven't plowed the local streets and the snow has compacted good enough that you could get a tow rope and go "downhill" skiing behind a car.

Infact I used to do that with friends using a snowmobile and a set of downhill skis. Blasting through the local snowmobile track/field at near 60mph on ski's was quite scary, fun, and probably stupid. Oh well, I'd do it again.
