yeah innova's sti is probably the nicest one i've ever seen. even manages to pull off an aftermarket rear wing and still look classy.
Yeah it does.

But I'm more a fan of the standard spoiler that's found on the STi WRX

Of course, that doesn't mean I don't like INNOVA's one.

you paint the 89? was under the impression silver rose were only on the initial 88 turbo S cars
You are correct it was only the 88s. I made a typo, I would never buy a car that needed repainting, just because who knows how the engine was taken car of if they let the paint go to waste.

One of these days I'm going to snap a more exciting pic:

Yamaha FZR 600 Genesis, 1993 (model 3HE).
(I also have a car, but no-one wants to see pictures of a 20 year old Toyota Starlet.)

Nice pics, INNOVA. I hadn't seen it with that wing on it. And are those Work or Enkei rims? Good look...

Work Emotions. I stuck with 17" The 18"s look great but were out of my price range. Love the IX man! Is that the SE edition.? I have two buddies both with identical gunmetal IX SE's. Damn nice cars.

It's an MR with SE package in Apex Silver. The gunmetal ones are friggin cool. Sometimes I wish I'd bought the gunmetal one (Graphite Grey) or a Tarmac Black one though. I went with a lighter color because I don't garage it and was worried about scratches showing up on darker colors...

Nice. I thought the MR and SE were different. My buddy told me that the SE is where it was at though. The SE has all the good cosmetic stuff of the MR but with a price similar to a GSR. Tranny different maybe? I dunno.

The MR and SE are different packages. The four main U.S. packages are:

Standard - revised 5-speed, standard model

RS - revised 5-speed, aluminum roof, gauge pack, minimal interior (no power anything, no trunk liner or trunk upholstery), 300 lbs lighter than other models. Ideal for someone who will be heavily modding it for street racing/track use.

SE - Special Edition, aluminum roof/hood, split seven-spoke forged aluminum BBS wheels in "diamond black" finish, HID headlights with integrated fog lights, red-stitched Recaro seats

MR - 6-speed, Bilstein monotube shocks, split seven-spoke forged aluminum BBS wheels, aluminum roof, gauge pack, HID headlights with integrated fog lights, vortex generator, and custom MR badging.

Mine is an MR that was equipped with the SE package by the factory. Most of us call them MR/SE's, but Mitsubishi doesn't call it that or badge it that way, they only badge it as an MR, even if they put the SE package on it (even though the dealer sticker & option list that came off of the window says "MR - SE"). I think only Standard vehicles with the SE package are badged as SE's. But mine came equipped with both kits, which means that I have all of the MR items, PLUS the lightweight aluminum hood, diamond black finish on the wheels, and red-stitched Recaros from the SE kit. [thumbup]

EDIT - and yeah, the UK & JDM offerings are called other things. The JDM market calls theirs the RS, GT and GSR (and they aren't directly equivalent to the US models, they also vary slightly) and I think the UK versions are FQ-300, 320, 340 and 360 depending on how they are kitted up horsepower-wise, but I'm not sure about the trim levels on the UK ones?
