I just found a lump downstairs im going to see the doctors tomorrow, so i hope everything is going to be ok. I really hope its not going to be the big C, i just dont know where to turn and what to think, i suffer from really bad panic attacks to, so this isnt helping one bit

I wouldn't sweat it too much, getting "the big C" is still unlikely. Even still, the way medicine has advanced since I had it in 2002 you should be good. Good luck.

To the OP, whatever it is, getting it seen t early is key. If it's the big C, it's very treatable down there especially if you get it early.

thanks mate, ive had a look on the net and it says that an ultrasound would be the way forwards. Suppose i should just get drunk and forget about it, plus i thinking of giving up smoking then i find this, now thats gone right out of the window, im smoking more than ever now

I had the same experience a couple of years ago but it turned out to be nothing even remotely serious. I had ultrasound and a CT-scan and got to see the inside of my ballsack magnified to 30 cm length on a screen so it was alomst worth the two two-hour trips to the thospital.

If the GP is experienced he might be able to see/feel what it is without ultrasound.

Don't worry, I had the same thing and it turned out just to be a cyst. Its pretty common.

I've felt thousands of scrotal lumps, most have been obvious cysts.

Some doctors will send you for a scan if they feel any abnormal lump as they're not comfortable excluding something nasty with an examination alone. I wouldn't worry about it too much just at the moment, there's evidence 30% of people have epididymal cysts whether they know about it or not, wait until a doctor's had a feel before you panic.

Could just be a "skin tag" They usually grow in damp areas, and are purely cosmetic (meaning you can have it removed if you want, but it doesn't hurt anything in leaving it there) Best of luck nonetheless.
