The 5 finalists were Miss Korea, Miss Brazil, Miss USA, Miss Venezuela and Miss Japan, and Mori cleaned up first place.

What I found funny was 'Heroes' actor James Kyson who played Hiro's friend Ando asked miss Korea "What super power would you pick if you could have any"... that made me laugh.

It was a combination of beauty, cuteness and personality that gave Miss Japan the win, and you could see she really had a good fun loving flair and sense of humor. The other contestants took themselves a bit too seriously (and you could tell miss Venezuela was pretty pissed of when she only made 2nd runner up).

You are either attempting humour (badly) or you are suffering of some kind of accute visual defficiency. She does not look western at all. In fact, she looked more home-grown than most of the other contestants.

I agree you were probably thinking she needed some cat's ears, and a smipy school uniform to be in touch with your anime-centric interpretation of a Japanse girl... so sorry to break your heart with a real japanese girl.

Yeah. That must be what it is. Its the makup and that stupid tiara. IMHO asians looks far better with no or very little makeup, unless they're specifically going for some sort of fashion statement. That, and maybe the fact she's standing next to A.C. Slater. She definitely has asian features, but something about her is just like.. blah. Like Lohan and Hilton got their hands on her or something.

so sorry to break your heart with a real japanese girl I just have a soft spot for catgirls and maid uniforms. :P I like asian women in general, but its the whole makeup thing that bugged me about her. Speaking of asians though... the local chinese buffet must have hired a new waitress. I wouldn't normally go for older women *10 years or more* and I would assume her to be in her mid 30's.. but she was hot. I like my women plain.. can't stand "casual" makeup.
