Looks like a codec issue, try installing a codec pack such as http://www.soft32.com/download_80105.html this XP Codec pack.

Just installed it, didn't work.

This happened last time I installed Windows XP, I just don't know how it was fixed, though.

Well, the fight is over, but I'd still like to get this fixed. Here are a couple of Mayweather and De la Hoya. You won't see these shots anywhere else!

You've got an ATi card? You need to disable hardware WMA within the CCC.

Either that or use WMP 10 or 11 and it fixes it.

I had that problem once, and turning down hardware acceleration fixed it, but then you gotta remember to turn it back up afterwards. Really annoying.

Or try different video drivers, I had a problem like that and changing video drivers worked for me.

NO! NEVER! NOOO!

NEVER codec packs. NEVER. EVER.

Uninstall any codecs you have, hope they didn't permantently f#ck up your system, and install FFDSHOW.

Hmm... I just disabled the Window Media Accleration in the CCC. I do have an ATI card. I'm still testing to see if this fixes everything.

Thanks for the replies!!

What is FFDSHOW? Hmm... It's installed on my system now. I guess I should be more careful of whose advice in here I take.

So, should I be concerned about getting FFDSHOW completely off? Any recommendations?

I'd suggest uninstalling everything and then re-installing fresh version of FFDSHOW from ffdshow tryouts, more precisely clsid's SSE (ICL9.1) build
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=439938

FFDSHOW is a codec/filter packet which uses libavcodec(s), same codec(s) as used by for example VLC Player and MPlayer.
The main thing, in addition to libavcodecs, are the extremely great filter capabilities

While I enjoy getting bitten, I don't like the idea of getting bitten by someone I don't know, and much less, bleed to death.
