If India can't stomach kissing, you know they'd fold in an invasion.

Our true allies in the area (Pakistan) would be more than willing to help as well.

This is interesting. I did not know it would be frowned upon in India like this.

Some things are frowned upon in different cultures, like you are not supposed to show frustration or anger in some Asian countries IF you can avoid it. But .. this thing, had no idea. I guess you learn new things every day.

You forget one thing here, Cort.

We are the Romans, and we make the world Rome.

1) Openness of sexual promiscuity (over here, we believe that if you have to do it, at least keep it private)

2) Lack of reverence for teachers

3) Lack of respect for elders

4) Putting old people in homes, and in general considering it OK to treat them like dirt, like a burden

5) Expecting children to be independent at the age of seventeen or eighteen

The second and fourth ones bother me quite a bit. They're unthinkable and abhorrent.

1) Are whores

2) Act up in class

3) Laugh at old folks

4) Punch their grandmas

5) Let their children run the streets wild

No ****ing wonder nobody here likes you guys.

Kissing on the cheek is obscene? Dude, grandparents will kiss their grandkids on the cheek.

As for India being next... The Neo-Cons have already tentatively penciled in Iran so India will have to wait its turn.

And when I say adapt to, it means accept the fact that such mores exist, and that they are practised. It does not mean that they become like that themselves. Then why should Richard Gere have to be like you when he visits India?
