With regards Paypal and verification, the process certainly used to work in the following way:
Sign up with Paypal - give them credit/debit card information. They make two small charges against your card for less than £1 each. When your statement arrives you go back to Paypal online, click "Verify Account" and you then enter the amount of the two charges (as they are random amounts). Your Paypal account is then finally creditted with the amount of the two charges. This gets a method of payment officially attached to your Paypal account and also verifies you are who you say you are etc. Slowish process to get an account set-up, but makes things a little more secure. |

I think you are mixed up, the actually make two small deposits into the account, then you go to the website and enter the ammounts of the deposit to verify your account. When I signed up for Paypal they made two small charges against the card I'd used to sign up. The onyl way I could possibly know those charges were via my bank statement. Once my bank statement arrived I followed the links, entered the two amounts that had been charged. My Paypal account was then in credit for the amount of the two charges. Yup - they have definitely changed it since I joined ![]() From the Paypal site: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/ebayexp...fication4.html |
