Default [serious] OTF Moderation feedback
So, we've new mods and homeowners around here. No changes have now been designed to principles and control perspective, an such like. We'd enjoy it to get some feedback from you folks concerning the following issues: 1. What's the reason of the OTF forum
It's the middle of a residential area. Once the on topic boards don't genuinely have a large amount of action (because of insufficient activities on the horizon or what not), people may come in to the off topic to go over whatever problems they would like to speak about and socialize with people who formerly came here for a shared interest. 2. How should we cope with personal problems, fires, an such like. First perform a Ming-like "CHILL" If it remains, then prohibit the folks because of the intensity of the fires & personal problems. Also considering past record. For a fire or personal assault, twenty four hours. For a significant one, per week. Perhaps start a third hit principle, where you might get an additional week for the 3rd offense. 3. How should we cope with line jacking Ignore it. OT moderators aren't designed to guide the conversation. 4. How should we cope with user-spam (perhaps not industrial junk) Ignore it. Until the test is to eliminate any conversation that's going on among several cards if the conversation is thorough) (but that's often difficult 5. Can there be something in these boards you skip? What somewhat discussions / subjects aren't possible here but could be advantageous to the OTF, what could we do to create them here? There have been more in depth conversations and subjects, but I actually do not believe the management may do such a thing to create them in. Probably the concept for a moderated OT (on another panel they make reference to it and a more moderated OT that is more severe on line jacking and junk as "The Pit") must certanly be considered. 6. Are one to post there reasons or not post in this community I article for the folks. 7. Do you such as the concept of a closed threads' forum, or do you prefer to maintain closed threads in the forum, or do you prefer them to be erased entirely? The shut line community was a good idea, honestly 8. So what can generally be achieved to make a much better position to the OTF Obvious control guidelines and avoid appearances of favoritism. A Pit and an Off Topic could be a great idea as well. 9. What must stay to keep a great position to the OTF? Decide to try being evenhandled and pay attention to people. Don't shut posts for being spammy without studying the great things in the OP, for example. 10. Other things? No . You'd your to Begin With Topic revolt. You be seemingly responding pretty much to it.
