Default What's your favorite space flick?
Mine would have to be Apollo 13. I still remember watching it for the first time [thumbup]

Depends on what you mean by favorite. If you mean totally engaging the mind and spirit, then it would be Contact.

If you mean could you watch it again and again, it would be Fantastic Planet.

If you mean "Holy crap, what were they smoking! I could never have imagined this in a million years, thanks for sharing!" Then it would be Barbarella.

If you mean the most fun, probably the current Star trek. [yes]

Edit: In the "Why the hell hasn't there been a remake?" category would be Fantastic Voyage.

Innerspace was a similar sort of thing.

My fav was Serenity. Loved the fire fly series and serenity did it justice imo.

Yah. I saw innerspace and thought Fantastic Voyage was a no-brainer. Apparently Hollywood disagreed.

It has to be Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

However if we forget Star Wars totally and let other films have half a chance then I would have to say Sunshine.
