Default Feudal Tenures in the Wisconsin Constitution
An interesting abstract on the concept of alloidal title buried in the Wisconsin constitution.

Best read it and come to your own conclusion.

Truly an interesting tidbit on the history of American law. We seem not so far removed even today from Feudal arrangements with land.

I'm trying to fit into this context the modern idea of a 'corporate farm', and illegal aliens working on it. That seems like modern day 'impersonal corporate feudalism'. Just wondering what the history books will have to say about that a hundred years from now.
