2. "Song" is in quotes because that composition, like most if not all rap compositions, is notably lacking in both melody and actual singing. It's a repetitive background beat with some dude talking over it in a vaguely aggressive tone of voice. Also waving his arms like a spastic referee. But in any case, no melody, no singing? Not a song.

I can't put clear lines about it, no, but I can pretty confidently exclude talking in a normal tone of voice with the only departure from conversational English coming from a tedious, aggravatingly jerky rhythm.
How trhe heck has Bob Dylan then became such a famous singer

Rock and punk was revolutionary music that had high influence on society - rap on the other side seems to be borne by some Abba'esque disco fashion. Strange that it seems to have got same credit as rock/punk.
I don't know about Denmark, but in the States rap is actually fairly popular, albeit mainly in urban areas where its central theme ("**** tha po-lice") is popular.

Even disco had its high points. Rap's highest point was that at least one rapper, for a brief period of time, got to do J. Lo.

"Sexy and I Know It" is a rap "song"? Rap is an abomination.

Well, that and the line I heard claiming there was no difference between cops and criminals, or some rubbish like that. Certainly it fed off of resentment of the police.

Anyway, Nazis in Space sounds like fun, and that's the important thing here.

Al, I suggest that you take a course in common english before you another time complain about words that you don't know.
We have a fail over here.

"Now what you hear is not a test, I'm rapping to the beat"

I actually hadn't before heard the original, nor did I realize it was that old. Awesome song though. How can someone not appreciate Rapper's Delight?
