I just find anyone who constantly crows about being a Christian and then acts and speaks the way Ben does rather.... hypocritical. |
Hello Ben
I used to play Civ2 Succession Games with BK, back when this was a gaming site. Ben was a positive contributor to that late, lamented group (the Scouse Gits were the ringleaders). So no matter what I think of Ben's politics or opinions on football, apparently the fact that I had fun gaming with him -- back in the day, when Civ was Civ and Poly was Poly -- trumps it. Hell, my sig still has the Git and Lafayette. Miss 'em. Nik kept me occupied during my ban by playing co-op Crusader Kings. Had a blast. Took the County of Trondheim all the way up to emperor.
I'm really sorry for the football sparring. That got way too personal and I'm trying to stay away from that and turn over a new leaf. I want to be that polite poster that I was known for being before. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif |
Also, BK, how long were you banned for and why? 6 months. I told loin that I could kick his ass. He took that as a personal threat. The whole issue between me and loin was over Floyd.
I know that Floyd isn't well liked here, but I got a chance to actually meet the guy and get to know him. And I have to say I like him a whole lot better than most folks here. He helped me out of a sticky spot and I'm very grateful that he did. I owe that to him, and despite our disagreements on many issues, I'm going to stick up for him. Loin, et al have a problem with someone who doesn't 'toe the line', and I'm fine with that. I've never toed the line on anything and I'm not sure why they expect me to do so now. What did they think I was gonna do? Toss him under a bus? I've never done that to anyone who's stuck their neck out for me, and I'm not about to now. Anyhoo, you can look that up in the moderation thread if you go back 6 months. I've done my time. |
Why?
...and failing.
Yes, they are rather brave, refusing to take the popular, easy course in this, aren't they.
Sycophancy is usually an action taken by those hoping to gain favor with the powerful or popular, isn't it?
Why are you afraid?
See? That's how you curry favor around here. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif
Tsk. Nobody said anything about your succeeding.
