He doesn't hopelessly flub every public speaking opportunity and he can make himself look intellectual when he isn't talking about putting giant mirrors in space
What's wrong with giant mirrors in space?

What's wrong with giant mirrors in space?
1. Expensive to develop at a time when we're drowning in debt
2. Fraught with potential unanticipated effects
3. Proposed benefit: lighting highways at night? Really?

Okay, how about just the extravagant, expensive ideas that will accomplish something of minimal use even if they succeed? Can we get some sort of blinders that only block out the daft stuff, or just ideas that involve launching stuff into space?

There are people who want us to put giant mirrors in space in order to light highways...?

Think of it as correcting a suboptimal natural phenomenon. Summertime daytime year-round.

I think this explains Newt's appeal to Republicans.
If he actually did have newt powers, he'd be the most awesome President ever.

He's not Mitt Romney.
And Romney is hoping he implodes like the other not Romneys.

He's been batting 1.000 on that so far.
Given how close it is to the caucuses it is and how flawed a candidate Newt is, it's time for Romney to take a more active hand in kneecapping him and make a more full throated case for himself than "You need me." I can only hope he seals the deal with the rest of the Republican electorate as Newt is better out of power than he is when put in charge of something as power tends to cause him to self destruct and take his allies with him.

Don't forget the lunar colony. "My fellow Americans, we won't be in Afghanistan forever. This is a moment of crisis for our country; will we be able to find another rocky, inhospitable deathtrap we can send our young people off to die in at atrocious expense?"

Well, Jon Huntsman seems okay, I think that's why he gets ignored.

Why is this republican primary like an old Western movie: the dumb, the liar and the willfully ignorant.

Don't you guys have any decent conservative candidates ?
His name is Ron Paul. He wants to legalize dope and automatic weapons.

He's appealing because he has a ridiculous name that looks like it should be an anagram for some kind of bizarre sexual shenanigans involving juniper berries and semi-aquatic lifeforms.

I don't suppose that's a clever/snide reference to his globe-like shape?
