[serious] Why is the UK so amazing?
|
That's your explanation?
xpost |
Why are we only comparing the UK to the countries that have the most cultural similarities to it?
|
Now separate Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland...
|
Ireland outranks the UK? LOL. Zing.

Serious answer - Banking crisis (caused by shoddy American banking standards!) knocked our GDP from 2.8 Trillian in 2007 to 2.175 Trillian in 2009, which is a much bigger proportional dip than in America, and it's about $9,000 per person off the GDP.
So basically it's KrazyHorse's fault. |

I was going to compare relative apparent levels of testosterone to per capita GDP, but New Zealand is anomolously at the bottom. Might be that sheep testosterone doesn't count.

1. They pay higher proportion of taxes now.
2. The proportion of taxes that they currently pay that are used to pay for services they consume is lower. Both these affect his standard of living now. |
I spent 5 seconds checking before I posted it.

Why the obsession with specific economic indicators to assess a country? So the US is apparently fabulously wealthy but is still full of terrible poverty and is practically a theocracy compared to most Western countries. Australia is nice but they have no water (when it's not getting flooded) and the place is full of the most appalling spiders. I'm sure Canada is great but a country made of ice isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Anyway, this is just a troll thread, so no need to take anything too seriously here. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif |
