Nostromo are you quoting Lessing for the hell of it or you have studied him?
I never read Lessing. I found the quote in Paul Lafargue's Le droit à la paresse (the right to be lazy).

I finished Umberto Eco's The Cemetary of Prague the other day.
I've begun reading Richard Dawkin's The Selfish Gene.
Also read some booklet written by Slavoj Zizek in which he rants against liberal multiculturalism as well as some other obscure stuff.

Btw, my grammar skills my be lacking a bit, but how should I interpret that Lessing quote Let us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy?

The damn thing was $10 last night on the Kindle store, but now its $15. Its a bit too expensive IMO for something that is inferior, in almost every respect, to the actual book. Not to mention that the hardback version is only $19.
Depends on your definition of "inferior". I didn't see it for $10, even the evening before. I think that being able to get the book without going to a bookstore and being able to read it on a thin & light Kindle over the thick and heavy book is far more ideal.

Yeah, snoopy from here brought then in to work for me. I had never heard of them before. Quite a different concept for a universe.

Weird, I checked the evening before and it was $10 on pre-order.

Yes, e-books are superior to paper books on a couple of points (portability, space saving, generally cheaper, etc.), but actual books are still superior overall IMO. If they were the exact same price, I probably would never buy a Kindle book.

The amusing thing is that I've actually paid slightly MORE for an ebook (the paperback was a Bargain Book on Amazon or something) because I find ebooks to be superior.

And the batteries tend to last like 2-3 weeks and are easily rechargable (use the same micro-usb as my cell phone charger anyways).
